The Pickfords tow-truck (VXD 547) was made by Scammell and operated by Pickfords. The tram was operated in Liverpool and its apparent last route, 10B, took it from Pier Head to Muirhead Avenue.
Scammell Lorries Limited was a British manufacturer of trucks between 1921 and 1988. The tram is a 1930’s design “Bogie Streamliner Car” famed for its high power and capacity. Pickfords is a “moving” company believed to have been founded in the 17th century and still operating today.
