A photo mosaic of an avenue of trees in autumn in Darley Dale made made from photographs of gardens from around the British Isles.
Extending for around 2 miles around the A6 in the Derwent valley, Darley Dale extends from Matlock in the south towards Rowsley in the north.
With known history dating back to the 12th Century (St Helen’s Church), Darley Dale has been a witness to an important North-South transport route for road and rail. Local growth was based on mining, quarrying and forging.
